BROWN, A.C., 88, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Robley Rex VA Medical Center.
He was a member of Pipe Fitters Union #669 all his life and spent many years with Kentuckiana Sprinkler Company which he helped found. He was an Army veteran of World War II and spent many months in a German POW Camp and was decorated with two Purple Hearts and two Bronze Battle Stars.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Dolly Lavenere Stinson Brown.
He is survived by his daughters, Sue Allen and Carolyn Burns (Sonny); grandson, Kristopher Wayne Talbot; and great-grandchildren, Kristopher Kaleb Talbot, Donovan Michael O'Bryan, and Summer Lillian O'Bryan.
His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Ratterman Grand Chapels, 4832 Cane Run Road, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday. Expressions of sympathy to the Hospice Unit at Veterans Hospital.
