ARMSTRONG, ALENE (HAYCRAFT), 74, went to Heaven June 18, 2014.
She was a homemaker and a member of Lyons Missionary Baptist Church.
Alene was preceded in death by her parents, Z.C. and Alta (Ward) Haycraft; sisters, Shirlene Stevenson and Doretha Haycraft; and grandchild, Brooke Lynn Sanders.
She is survived by her husband, Cecil Armstrong; children, Barry K. Armstrong and Victoria Lynn Sanders; grandchild, Miles Thomas Sanders; siblings, Charles David Haycraft, Gary Clay Haycraft and Carolyn Newton; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Alene will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Lyons Missionary Baptist Church, 904 Gagel Avenue, with entombment to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may go to the
American Cancer Society
