Alva Harrison "Al" Snyder SNYDER, ALVA HARRISON "AL," 90, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2010.
He was a retired truck driver for A & P Grocery, a member of the DAV, Ormsby Heights Baptist Church, and an Army veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his son, Alva Lee Snyder; and his grandson, Scott Snyder.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 66 years, Neva Nell (Martin) Snyder; his son, Dennis Snyder (Ann); grandsons, Mark and Michael Snyder; adopted grandson, Edward Snyder; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 12 p.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Thursday.
