Bonnie Sue Beauchamp

Apr 23, 1948 — Oct 29, 2026

Mocksville, North Carolina

Bonnie Sue Beauchamp (Carby), age 78, passed away on October 29,2026, in Mocksville, North Carolina. She was born on April 23, 1948, in Louisville, Kentucky, where she was raised and started her family.

Bonnie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a sweet and caring woman who dedicated so much of her life to her family. One of her greatest joys was raising her grandchildren and being a constant part of their lives. Her love for her family was evident in the time, care, and memories she gave them.

Bonnie enjoyed cooking, traveling, reading, and playing bingo. She was hardworking and had a passion for the simple pleasures in life. She was also a woman with a strong personality. Never afraid to tell you like it was, Bonnie could be stubborn at times, but that was part of what made her uniquely her. She had her own way of doing things and was never one to shy away from speaking her mind.

She worked many years as a waitress at the old Parkside Restaurant, making many friends. Bonnie also worked at Norton Hospital and Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital as a Medical Records Clerk.

Bonnie went to Manley Junior High and graduated from Fairdale High School in 1966.

Above all, Bonnie will be remembered for her love of family, her sweet heart, her determination, and the many memories she leaves behind. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the love she gave and the lives she touched will never be forgotten.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Laura Carby Coleman (Robert); her grandchildren, Meaghan Carby (Craig), Katye Carby, Joseph Carby, and Zoie Carby; and her great-grandchildren, Isabella Carby, Raelynn Carby, Elana Coy, and several other beloved great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings, Trudy Kamber (Louie), Jackie Wright (Gary), Sharon Gerding (John), Steve Carby, and Verna Sloan, nieces and nephews; and special daughter, Lori Beers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Haskell Carby and Isabelle Carby Simms; longtime partner, Anthoney Spellman; grandson, Robert Brooks; great-granddaughter, Catrina June Roach; and her great-grandson, Damien Jaxson William Anthony Kidd.

Though Bonnie’s time here has come to an end, the love she poured into her family will continue through the generations. From her beginnings in Louisville to her final days in Mocksville, her life was filled with memories, family, and love.

Rest peacefully, Bonnie. Your love will live on through the generations you helped raise. You will forever be loved and missed.
