Carol Lynn Wentworth, 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025. She was born on August 7, 1953, in Bronx, New York, to Louis and Dorothy Barbara.
Carol was a graduate of DuPont Manual High School and went on to dedicate 29 years of service to Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) as a graphic designer. Throughout her career, she was recognized with numerous awards for her creativity, talent, and dedication, leaving a lasting impact on the district and those she worked alongside.
Known for her gentle and kind-hearted spirit, Carol had a deep love for animals and a quiet compassion that touched everyone she met. She was an avid reader, a master of crossword puzzles, and a gifted musician who played several instruments. Carol especially enjoyed playing her guitar and singing for various churches, sharing her faith and joy through music.
A true artist at heart, Carol loved arts and crafts and proudly entered her creations in the Kentucky State Fair, where she earned numerous ribbons over the years for her exceptional work.
Above all else, Carol cherished the time she spent with her loving husband of 60 years, Scotty Wentworth. Their bond was the center of her life, and the love they shared was evident to all who knew them.
Carol Lynn Wentworth will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her creativity, kindness, and the quiet joy she brought into the lives of others.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Louis Barbara and Dorothy Grider Barbara.
Left to cherish her memory, Carol is survived by her loving husband, Scotty Wentworth; sister, Sindi Estill; brother-in-law, Edward Estill; nephew Michael Estill (Amoura); and a host of extended family and close friends.
A private burial will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
