Carolyn Sue Walker

Carolyn S. Walker, 76, passed away peacefully on October 27, surrounded by her loving family.

A proud graduate of Western High School, Carolyn was a licensed cosmetologist for more than 50 years. Most of her career was spent at her own salon, Shear Pleasure Hair Styles, where she took great joy in serving her family, friends, and loyal customers.

A longtime resident of the Beechmont neighborhood, Carolyn was an active and caring member of her community. She found happiness in gardening, crafting, and spending time with her beloved dogs. Above all, she cherished her family and the moments they shared together.

Carolyn was a devoted member of Christ Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Nina Walker.

Left to cherish her memory, Carolyn is survived by her siblings Sharon Young (Todd), Wayne Walker, and Paula Walker (Neil Kunkel); nephew Bret Walker (Erica); nieces Kim McFarland (Andy), Maggie Kunkel, and Sarah Kunkel; and great-nieces Megan McFarland, Molly McFarland, and Grace Walker.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky. A family service will follow the gathering.
