Charles E. Walker, 90, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on November 9, 2016. He was born to the late Elbert Lee Walker and Maggie (Hart) Walker Pence in Wataga, Illinois on January 18, 1926.
  
  He was also preceded in death by his wife of 70 years Helen Elizabeth Walker and brothers, James, Russell and Earl Walker.
  
  Charles was an Army veteran of WWII, serving the European Theater and Asiatic Pacific Theater of Operations with the 97th Infantry. He retired after 32 years of service from the Corp of Engineers and served for 11 years as an Elder at his church, Expressway Church of Christ.
  
  He is survived by his loving daughter Sandra Walker, along with a brother Carlos Pence (Ruth) and several nieces and nephews.
  
  Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Friday from 2-8 pm and Saturday from 11:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
