STRONG, CLARENCE "SHORTY," 96, of Louisville passed away Friday, May 14, 2010.
After 40 years of working for Porter Paint Co., "Shorty" retired to take care of his wife, Trilbia. After she died he did many projects of wood working, taking care of others and being a friend and teacher to many. He was a fantastic neighbor, a tremendous giver and a huge dog lover. He was also a member of Morningside Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by sons, Roger "Rookie" and Richard " Dickie" Strong.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Raper (Gary); six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral service: 1:30 p.m. Monday at Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd. with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation: 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
In lieu of flowers donations may go to the Kentucky Humane Society.
