Constance “Connie” Kirchner, 69, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky.
Born on June 15, 1956, in Louisville, Kentucky, Connie was the beloved daughter of Andrew and Dolores Geftos. She spent her life rooted in the community she loved, carrying with her the values of kindness, humility, and quiet strength that were instilled in her from an early age.
Connie was a loving mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. She had a kind and gentle spirit that touched everyone she met. Always putting others before herself, Connie would do anything for anyone in need. Much like her mother, she never liked to burden others with her own concerns and rarely asked for much. Her selflessness and generous heart were among her greatest gifts.
In her spare time, Connie found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved settling in with her favorite book and could often be found happily working on seek-and-find puzzles, enjoying the quiet moments they brought. These small joys reflected her peaceful nature and appreciation for the little things.
Connie’s warmth, compassion, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched with her gentle spirit and enduring kindness.
Connie is preceded in death by her father, Andrew Geftos; and sister, Andrea McCurdy.
Left to cherish her memory, Connie is survived by her daughter, Rachel Sheahan (Jason); mother, Dolores Jones Geftos; 2 siblings, Spelios A. Geftos (Cheryl) and Johanna McCorkle; niece, Sarah Geftos; nephew, Kyle Geftos; 3 cousins, Claire Renaud, Shelly Harty, and Maria Geftos Davidson; and a host of extended family and close friends.
A funeral service for Ms. Constance Kirchner will be held at 5 PM on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Louisville Memorial Gardens West Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 1 PM to 5 PM at the funeral home, prior to the service. Private entombment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West will take place on Friday, March 6, 2026.
