Denver Cheek

Denver L. Cheek,78, husband of Geneva Mae "Genny" Cheek, died Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Georgetown Manor in Louisville. He was born April 8, 1937 in Harlan, Ky. the son of the late Charlie & Martha Gipson Cheek.
He was a retired binder with Gateway Press and was a member of Hillview Church of God.
Besides his wife of 26 years he is survived by his children, Donald W. Cheek (Brenda), Harold L. Cheek Sr. (Cindy), grandchildren, Michael W. Cheek, Harold L. Cheek Jr. (Rashanna Early) and Tiffany Cheek Gibbs, step-children, Jerry D. Davis and Tammy M. Miles (Mick), step-grandchildren, Bryan and Nicholas Miles, great grandchildren, Bryson Weasenforth, Liberty Walton, Olivia & Ella Cheek and his sister, Maggie Walls. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by four sisters.
A service celebrating Denver's life will be held 10:00 AM Monday at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Hwy. Visitation will be held from 2 to 7 Sunday at the funeral home. A graveside committal service will be held 2:00 pm Monday at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, Ky. 42718.
