BROWN, EDNA LaVERNE, 82, passed away on October 25, 2011.
She retired from Audubon Hospital where she worked in the gift shop, and was a member of St. Stephen United Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Ronald Jameson Metsker.
Survivors include her devoted husband, Robert M. "Bob" Brown; her children, Gerald F. Metsker, Karen Koch (David) and Mark Metsker Sr. (Vicki); stepdaughters, Delaine Yarbrough and Lin Ashcraft (Dene); four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Helen Coan (Jack) and Dolores Swartwood (Robert).
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service time at 1 p.m.
