Callaway, Elbert Raymond,
88, passed away Tuesday November 10, 2015. Born in Austinville, AL, he was a retired pipefitter for the L&N Railroad, a Army veteran and Baptist by faith.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Opal Jewel Callaway; son Steve Mitchell; parents, Otis E. and Laura I Crawford Callaway; two brothers, Otis E. Callaway Jr. and Fred J. Callaway
He is survived by his children, Jackie Callaway (Curtis Ables), David Callaway (Beth), and daughter-in-law Ingrid Callaway; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bobby Callaway.
His funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. on Thursday.
