COMPTON, EVELYN NANCY (HORSLEY), 97, of Louisville, passed away July 24, 2011. She was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and resided at Oxmoor Lodge Retirement Home.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Compton; daughter, Jolene Caldwell; and grandchildren, Valli Neubert and Luke Shanks.
Survivors include her children, Robyn Parrino (Phil) and Elaine Shanks (Jim); grandchildren, Ashley Russell, Jackye Strohbeck, LeAnne Blackburn, Kelly Owen, Cole Shanks, and Kirsten Rodgers; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and niece, Pauline Tucker.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be Wednesday 10 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m.
