Thomas, Evelyn Mae (Gamble) View/Sign Guest Book THOMAS, EVELYN MAE (GAMBLE), 85, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2008. She was a member of Dixie Valley Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Thomas II; a son, John Paul Thomas; and her parents, John and Ruth Gamble. She is survived by her children, Joseph "Skip" Thomas III, Joan Sweazy and Sandy Baker; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at Dixie Valley Church of God, 4703 Quinn Drive. Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may go to Dixie Valley Church of God Youth Ministry.
