Francis Gene Klusmeier, husband of Vanita Stovall Klusmeier, passed away April 23, 2012. Born March 24, 1922 he played football for Manual H.S. and attended U of L. He was a World War II Army Veteran, deacon of Beechland Baptist Church, a Mason and member of the Scottish Rite and Shriners.
Mr. Klusmeier was a retired General Foreman with LG&E and was the founder of Dixie Electric Company.
Besides his beloved wife of 70 years he is survived by his children Deborah Levine and Gene Lamont. 4 grandchildren, Whitney Woodford, Bret Marcum , Jason & Sean Klusmeier. 5 great grandchildren, his brother Matthew, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and his special nephew, James Baskett.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Essex N.H. and his caregiver, Teresa.
