Share Visit Guest Book Frank A. Blackburn BLACKBURN, FRANK A., 87, of Louisville, passed away on May 2, 2010 at Baptist East Hospital with his family by his side.
He was a mechanic for Shell Oil Company and a World War II veteran with the Navy.
Frank was a member of Bethany Methodist Church in Louisville and VAMO United Methodist Church in Sarasota, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Asa H. and Grace May Blackburn; several siblings; and a daughter, Collette Blackburn.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Wilma Worth Blackburn; son, Donald Wayne Blackburn (Frankie); daughters, Phyllis Diane Sea, Jeanette Conder (Steve); five grandchildren, Mark and Damon Sea, Jason Wayne Blackburn and Tim and Billy Conder; and nine great-grandchildren.
His Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West . Visitation will be on Wednesday from 1-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Heart Association .
