Frank Kimel

Frank Kimel, 83, born in Louisville, KY December 7, 1932 passed away at his home with his wife and children by his side.
He is survived by his loving wife, Emma Joann (Tucker) Kimel of 64 years and his caring children; son Michael J. Kimel and daughter Cynthia L. Grillot.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Loretta Alexander Kimel.
He retired from Blue Bird Pie Company (formerly Moore Pie Company) with locations in Louisville and Dayton, Ohio. He also worked at Woody's Market for 18 years in West Carrolton, Ohio.
He was a Korean War Veteran, a long time member of Amvets Post 1 on Swan Street in Louisville. Frank was loved by everyone he met. He always had a friendly smile and a pleasant, hospitable, and honest character.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 3:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Saturday from 2-6 and Sunday from 1 until time of service.
