SHAW, GEORGE WAYNE, SR., 63, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012 at his residence with his family by his side.

He was a retired electrician for IBEW Local 369 and was an Army Veteran. Wayne was Baptist by faith, who loved and cared for his wife of 36 years. He was a wonderful father and grandfather to his son, daughter and two grandchildren. He was a devoted U of L and Chicago Bears fan and a corvette owner/enthusiast.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Freda Shaw; and son, George Wayne Shaw, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife, the former Ethel Richardson; daughter, Elizabeth Shaw Banks (Rich); brother, Michael Shaw (Diane); sisters, Shirley Miller, Geri Hassman and Judy Ryan (Mike); two grandchildren, Austin and Gracie; and many extended family members and friends.

His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at Highlands.
