Harley B. Spencer Jr., 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2026.
Harley was born on July 4, 1943, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Harley and Ethel Spencer. A lifelong Louisville native, he was deeply rooted in the community he loved so much.
Family meant everything to Harley. He loved them fiercely and completely, and his life revolved around spending time with those closest to him. Known for his outgoing personality and vivacious energy, Harley truly never met a stranger. His warmth, humor, and ability to connect with anyone left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.
Harley was an avid supporter of Pleasure Ridge Park High School (PRP). He was a proud member of PRP’s first graduating class, played an integral role in the PRP Youth Football Program, and was honored with induction into the PRP Hall of Fame and Athletic Hall of Fame. His dedication to PRP sports and to mentoring young athletes reflected his deep commitment to his community.
He cherished family trips to Daytona Beach, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. A decades-long patron of Mike Linnig’s, Harley loved the familiar atmosphere, spending time on the docks watching the barges pass by and feeding the ducks—simple joys that brought him great peace.
In his spare time, Harley could often be found caring for his many beloved dogs, racing and working on motorcycles, or cheering on PRP sports. These passions filled his life with purpose and happiness.
Harley B. Spencer Jr. will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, but his legacy of kindness, community involvement, and unwavering love for family will live on.
