BAKER, JAMES R. "BAKER" 70, husband of Darlene Baker, died May 28, 2010.
Born in Willisburg, KY, he was the son of the late Omer and Edith Rigsby Baker. Mr. Baker was a retired truck driver, a U.S. Army veteran, member of Teamsters Local #89 and former owner of Fairdale Florist. He was also coach of the girls softball team, "Bakers Raiders" that won the state championship in 1993.
Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter, Jackie Parker (Bob); two sons, Jamie Baker (Devra) and John Baker; one stepson, Rob Cox (Janet); two sisters, Linda Boone and Ruby Ann Sullivan; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral service will be held 11a.m. Tuesday at Louisville Memorial Gardens West Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
