SALYER, JAMES M. "JIM," 83, passed away December 22, 2013. He was a retired employee of Jefferson County Public Schools, a member of Lions Club in Hardin County and an Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his siblings; and caregivers, Frank and Ann Thompson, Sheila Baxter, Frank Thompson Jr., Debbie Cruise and Lisa Kirk. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 10 a.m. -1 p.m. Thursday.
