Joseph Johnson Jr

Joseph L. Johnson, Jr., 79, husband to Carol Gootee Johnson, passed away at home on Tuesday March 7, 2017. He was born to the late Joseph L., Sr. and Geraldine Thurman Johnson in Belmont, KY on August 10, 1937.
Joe was a retired sheet metal worker, a member of Local 110, and was a friend of Bill's for over 44 years.
Besides his wife of 55 years, he is survived by their children, Joseph Johnson (Lisa), Dean Johnson (Stephanie), and Jill Mullaney (Pat) along with grandchildren; Amanda, Jennifer, Joseph, Haley, Jacob, Rachael, Carly Johnson, Shelby and Cass Allen, Megan Jones, Kerry and Conor Mullaney and great-grandchildren; Allison, Kayla, Joseph, Jaydence. He will also be missed by siblings Gene Johnson (Shirley), Brenda Coy (Dennis), and Keith Johnson (Donna) with a host of other relatives.
Funeral services will be Friday at 12:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8 at the funeral home.
