Leona Jo Wolfe, 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Born on September 20, 1939, in Louisville, Kentucky, Leona was the beloved daughter of Leon and Regina Wolfe. She spent her life rooted in the community she loved, building lasting connections through her kindness, generosity, and spirited personality.

Leona was a devoted and loving mother whose greatest joy came from caring for others. She was always ready to lend a helping hand, offering support, comfort, and compassion to anyone in need. Her selfless nature and warm heart left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She also had a lively and adventurous side. Leona enjoyed the excitement of chasing a win at her favorite casinos and bingo halls, embracing the thrill and camaraderie those moments brought her. Her sense of fun and love for life added a special spark to her character that friends and family will fondly remember.

Leona Jo Wolfe will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of kindness, strength, and spirited living will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Leona is preceded in death by her parents, Leon H. Holman and Regina C. Journey; and 2 sons, Danny Ray Wilson and John Robert Wolfe.

Left to cherish her memory, Leona is survived by her 2 loving sons, Donald Wolfe and Richard Wolfe; and daughter-in-law, Janet Wilson.
