Margaret Staples

Staples, Margaret "Lucille",99, of Louisville, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Golden Living Center- St. Matthews.Born in Canmer, KY, she was the former Margaret Russell, a sales associate with the old Bacon Department Store and member of Valley View Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil L. Staples and son, James Allen Staples.Margaret is survived by her brother, Taylor Russell; grandchildren; Allen "Butch" Staples (Rose), David Staples (Cathy), Sallie Smith (Mickey), Suzanne Martin (Brad); 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.Her service will be at 10 a.m on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.Expressions of sympathy may be made to Valley View Baptist Church.
