Louisville, Kentucky

Michael David Hagan, lovingly known as “David,” passed away on April 8, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky, at the age of 61.

David was born on August 20, 1964, in Louisville, Kentucky, to William and Joyce Hagan. A hardworking and dedicated man, he spent many years as an iron worker and also proudly served in the Army National Guard.

David had a passion for mechanics and could often be found working on or “fiddling” with his cars. He found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially fishing trips to Green River and Taylorsville Lake. A lover of rock n’ roll music, David also had a curious mind and enjoyed reading just about anything he could get his hands on. His knowledge and easygoing personality made him a joy to be around, and he was known for being fun-loving and full of life.

He shared 21 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Tammy, building a life full of cherished memories, laughter, and love. Their time together was deeply meaningful and will be treasured forever.

David will be remembered for his kind heart, his hardworking spirit, and the joy he brought to those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and countless memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

David is preceded in death by his parents, William Charles Hagan and Joyce Caffee Hagan Jenkins; and his sister, Julie Hagan.

Left to cherish his memory, David is survived by his wife of 21 years, Tammy Strader; siblings, Theresa Lynn Browning (John) and Chris Michael Hagan (Karen); and many nieces and nephews.

A private entombment will be held at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky.
