Betty Spencer

Betty Lee Spencer, 84, wife to the late Earl A. Spencer, passed away at home surrounded by her family, on Friday December 27, 2019.   She was born to the late Roy M. and Cova Ellen (Burkhead) Aubrey in Louisville on September 16, 1935.  She is also preceded in death by her son, Dr. Warren Spencer.

Betty was a member of Parkland Baptist Church.  She was a homemaker who loved her children and grandchildren and would rather spend time with them than anything else.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children Wendy Spencer, Kimberly Bowyer-Hill (Ivan), along with siblings, Cova Montgomery, Mary Rose Milburn (Harold) and Gene Aubrey (Bridget).  She will also be missed by 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great- grandchild.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday from 1:00 till 7:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway.
