Jeffrey Allen Craig

Jeffrey “Gator” Allen Craig, 60, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025, at his home in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on February 22, 1964, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Virgil and Diana Craig, Jeff was a man of simple pleasures and deep connections.

Jeff spent over 26 years working as a valued employee at Usher Transport, where he was known for his dedication, hard work, and easy-going nature. He lived life with a relaxed attitude, always able to find joy in the little things, and his love for his dog, Bandit, brought him great comfort and companionship.

An avid fan of the Florida Gators and the Dallas Cowboys, Jeff’s love of sports was something he shared with family and friends, always ready to cheer on his favorite teams. In his free time, he could often be found watching games or indulging in his favorite hobby of browsing and ordering from Amazon, always looking for the next fun find.

Though he lived a simple life, Jeff’s presence was a gift to all who knew him. His laid-back personality, kindness, and steady companionship will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and loved ones. He will be remembered fondly for his warmth, his sense of humor, and his easy-going nature.

May his soul rest in peace, and may we always carry his memory in our hearts.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Bay Craig Sr., and Diana McKenzie Craig; brother, Brian Craig; and the love of his life, Donna Barton.

Left to cherish his memory, Jeff is survived by his brother, Virgil Craig Jr; many cousins; and a host of extended family and close friends.

A Celebration of Life Gathering for Mr. Jeffrey “Gator” Craig will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 12 PM to 1 PM at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM, with inurnment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West to follow the funeral service.
