John Lewis Marr

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Lewis Marr, who peacefully passed away on March 4, 2025, in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, at the age of 70.

Born on December 14, 1954, to David R. Marr Sr. and Nellie J. Marr, John grew up in Louisville, where he developed a love for his community, family, and the simple joys of life. He was a devoted son, brother, and friend, known for his kind spirit and his unwavering support of those he loved.

John is preceded in death by his loving wife, Judy Marr, and his parents, David and Nellie Marr.

Left to cherish his memory, John is survived by his brother, David Marr; 1 daughter, Melissa Marr; 2 granddaughters, Samantha Reynolds and Aubrey Marr.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held prior to the memorial service from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place following the memorial service.
