Joseph Ronald Conder, 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 1, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on March 12, 1946, in Shively, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Virgil and Ola Conder.
Joseph was a proud graduate of Trinity High School, Class of 1964, and a dedicated employee of General Electric, where he worked faithfully for over 35 years until his retirement. Known for his strong work ethic and warm personality, Joseph left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of working alongside him.
Joseph was a father, grandfather, brother, and friend, whose storytelling and ability to make others laugh will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Joseph had a deep affection for animals, especially his beloved Bassett hounds, Casey and Max, who were his loyal companions for many years. He also loved the simple pleasures of life—spending time outdoors mowing the lawn, tending to his flower garden, and enjoying classic television shows like Gunsmoke and Last of the Summer Wine.
Joseph cherished time spent traveling to Florida and Myrtle Beach, where countless memories were made during camping trips and sunny days on the sand.
A life well-lived, Joseph Ronald Conder will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Conder and Ola Barnes Conder; and 3 brothers, Bill Conder, Tom Conder, and Jim Conder.
Left to cherish his memory, Joseph is survived by 3 sons, Joseph “Nick” Conder, Andy Conder (Bonnie), and John “Tom” Conder (Amy); 4 grandchildren, Jeremy David Conder (Dana), David Ambrose Conder, Sarah Marie Conder, and Jonathan Thomas Conder; caregiver, Paula Brown Conder; sister, JoAnn Young (Billy); sister-in-law, Margie Conder; and a host of extended family and close friends.
A funeral service for Mr. Joseph Conder will be held at 2 PM on Monday, September 8, 2025, at Louisville Memorial Gardens West Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 11 AM to 2 PM, at the funeral home. Entombment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West will follow the funeral service.
