Lourdes Winchester Hoff

Lourdes Winchester Hoff, age 79, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on February 24, 1946, in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, to Clemente Melendez and Esperanza Guzman, Lourdes brought light and joy to every life she touched.

Lourdes was known for her warm and outgoing personality. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—taking trips to Walmart, discovering treasures while thrift shopping, and sharing laughs and stories with her friends. She loved being surrounded by loved ones and especially cherished traveling to visit her grandchildren, family, and friends in Puerto Rico and Florida.

Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life. Lourdes found peace and strength in her nightly prayers and her devotion to the word of the Lord.

Lourdes is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Clemente Melendez and Esperanza Guzman, and her daughter-in-law, Kellie McGuffin.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and family. Left to cherish her memory, Lourdes is survived by her 4 children, Chris Winchester, Lynette Foose, Larry Winchester, and Leonard Winchester; her brother, Carlos Melendez; and her 8 grandchildren: Devyn Winchester, Isabella Foose, Alyssa Foose, Alex Foose, Tre Winchester, Colt Winchester, Aaron Ames, and Desirae Ames; several great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and close friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2025, from 12:00 – 7:00 PM and Monday, August 4, 2025, from 12:00 - 2:00 PM, at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky. A funeral service will be held for Lourdes Winchester Hoff at 2:00 PM, on Monday, August 4, 2025, at the funeral home. Entombment will take place following the funeral service.

Lourdes lived a life full of laughter, love, and unwavering faith. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
