Michael Edward Molinari, a devoted mechanic, proud U.S. Army veteran, and lover of fast cars, passed away on February 18, 2025, at the age of 82 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on January 2, 1943, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and led a life full of passion, hard work, and love for his family and friends.
Michael was known for his hardworking, no-nonsense attitude as a mechanic. His love for cars and racing was evident in everything he did. He spent countless hours at his best friend, Tom Winter’s, garage and body shop, fixing up cars and indulging in his love of all things automotive. Michael's enthusiasm extended beyond the garage; he was a regular at the local racetracks, where he would coach and cheer on his buddy Tom; and found joy in watching wrestling, a pastime that brought him great entertainment.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Michael served his country with honor, and his sense of duty and loyalty was carried through in all aspects of his life. He cherished the time spent with his family, particularly on the weekend trips to Chicago, where laughter filled the air. Michael's devotion to those close to him was unwavering, and he expressed his care not with words, but through his actions.
Michael's love for music, particularly the timeless tunes of Elvis Presley and Chuck Berry, often filled his home, and his enjoyment of classic Westerns provided him with countless hours of nostalgia and joy. His faithful dog, Zoey, was always by his side, providing him with comfort and companionship throughout his life.
Above all, Michael led a simple life, living with integrity, kindness, and a deep love for those around him. He was a man who showed his love and appreciation through hard work and thoughtful gestures. He may not have spoken of his feelings often, but it was clear to all who knew him that his heart was full of love for his family, friends, and the simple joys of life.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Michael J. Molinari and Kay Lingenfelter; and his loving wife, Billie Molinari.
Left to cherish his memory, Michael is survived by his 2 children, Tammy High (Glenn) and Michael J. Molinari; 8 grandchildren and spouses; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 siblings, David Russell Molinari, R.
