Paul Wright

Paul Wright, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on December 22, 2024, surrounded by his loving friends and family. Born on June 2, 1940, to the late Leo Herman Wright and Flora Wright, Paul was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Paul dedicated many years of his life as a local truck driver and proudly served in the United States Army for three years. He was a member of the Local 89 Teamsters Union for many years. He was known for his love of family and enjoyed his time with them whenever possible. His marriage to Joyce spanned 61 wonderful years, filled with love and companionship. Together, they raised two children, Pam Wright and Tommy Wright (Tonya), and built a legacy of warmth and care. Paul leaves behind his sister; Margie Walker. Paul was also blessed with four grandchildren—Stephanie Yates, Makayla Bryant (Logan), Kirsty Bullock, and Chance Bullock—and three great-grandchildren: Jayce Bullock, Gracie Bullock, and Jax Bullock. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by many nieces and nephews who will carry forward his memory. In his free time, Paul enjoyed activities such as playing the lottery, working on his "seek and find" books, and discussing his beloved John Deere tractor. He also enjoyed playing cards with his family and friends. Above all, he cherished his family and the time spent with them.Paul was preceded in death by his brothers, Billie Dean Wright, Jimmy Wright, and Bobby Wright, as well as his sister Dorothy Wright. A visitation will be held at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home West on Thursday, December 26, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A second visitation will be on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.Paul’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to call him family and friend.
