Ruth Mullins

Ruth Ann Mullins, 86, wife to the late Joseph E. Mullins, Sr., passed away, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday December 31, 2019 at Park Terrace.

She was born to the late John E. and Eleanor (Huss) Black in Louisville on September 9, 1933.  She is also preceded in death by her sisters Virginia Welsh, Evelyn Brooks and her brother Charles Black.

Ruth retired from Parkway Medical Center from the Human Resources Department, was a graduate of Mercy Academy, and a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church.

She loved spending time and partying with her family, working crossword puzzles, and was a huge fan of UL and the Chicago Cubs.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Diane Howell (Steve), Janet Turpen (Irvine), Joseph Mullins, Jr. (Lisa), Patricia Brown (Kenny), Terry Mullins, Lynne Meador, Robert Mullins, Kenneth Mullins (Michelle Marcum), and Brian Mullins.  She will also be missed by 22 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8 pm at the funeral home.
