Opal Reece

REECE, OPAL P., 87, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Norton Hosparus Pavilion. She worked for JCPS as an elementary school tutor and also worked in the cafeteria. She volunteered for many years at Meadows South Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kenneth Reece. She is survived by two daughters, Deanna Pruneda and Paula Cox (Howard), three grandchildren, Melissa Krebs (Dan), Tracy Lukee (Brian) and Monica Wittmer (Mike); two stepgrandchildren, Lisa Tinnell (Clint) and Melissa Bucayu (Patrick); 10 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Nell Howard and Mildred Jewel. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home with entombment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Saturday 5-8 p.m. and Sunday noon-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
