Oreda Blair

Blair, Oreda M. (Phelps) Shemwell,passed away on September 6, 2015.She was a retired employee of Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital where she worked for 21 years.She was preceded in death by her parents, William Harve Phelps and Ada (Reeves) Phelps; brothers John Phelps and William H. Phelps, Jr., and her former husband and father of her children, William L. Shemwell.Survivors include her devoted husband of 31 years, Oscar D. Blair; her daughters, Marilyn Faye Brewer (Stephen A.) and Rita Carol McDonald (James); and four grandchildren, James Gordon McDonald, Stephen William Brewer (Christy), Jason Allen McDonald and Stuart Allen Brewer; and great granddaughter, Hallie Katerina Brewer.Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2 - 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 11 a.m. Wednesday.Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus.
