Philip H. Muir, Jr.

Philip H. “Phil” Muir, Jr., 93, passed away on May 24, 2022. He was born on August 22, 1928, to the late Philip and Bessie Bowling Muir. Phil was retired from General Electric. He was a proud graduate of Manuel High School, an Air Force Veteran, a Mason, a wood model plane enthusiast, a lover of WWII aircraft, old movies and dancing to big band music.  Philip was a kind and gentle man that knew how to dress and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was always a loving father, grandfather and stepfather that shared many life lessons and guidance.  He was also an avid University of Kentucky fan.

Philip is survived by his daughter, Pam Zollman; stepchildren, Carolyn Roberts, Dale Roberts (Esther); his grandchildren, William Brown and Kristen Milbourn; and several step-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Philip will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at 1:00PM at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home West, 4400 Dixie Highway.  Visitation will be from 11:00AM until service time at the funeral home.
