GOODMAN, PHLIETE, 82, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday May 11, 2011 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital.
He was an engineer for Ford Motor Company Heavy Truck Division, a member of Sunset Masonic Lodge #915, a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and served in the Mediterranean, attended Male High School and a graduate of the University of Louisville.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Dale Goodman; parents, Phliete and Delilah Goodman; siblings, Nora, Doris and C.L. Goodman.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Donetta Caldwell Goodman; sister-in-law, Kathryn Goodman; niece, Kimberly Ann Jansing (Ed); nephew, Phliete Richard Goodman (Nancy); and many other nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be 9:45 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Pearson Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens East Cemetery to follow. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2011 and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to KOSAIR Children's Hospital.
