Robert Mimms

Robert L. Mimms, 87, husband to the late Margaret (Schmidt) Mimms, passed away on Monday April 2, 2018 at Baptist Health Care. He was born to the late David and Evelyn (Kimbrough) Mimms on July 29, 1930 in Guthrie, KY. He is also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Mimms and siblings, Louis Mimms, David Mimms, Sarah Rivers, and Evelyn Hodges.
He retired as a maintenance foreman from the Louisville Metro Parks Department.
He is survived by his children; Robert Mimms (Melanie), David Mimms (Angela), Julia Reed along with grandchildren; Melinda Owen, Robert Bogen, Thomas, Rachel, Landon, Zachary, and Anna Mimms and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Monday from 2-7 pm at the funeral home.
