Louisville

Robert Burns “Bob” Pace, 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Born on May 13, 1945, in Russellville, Alabama, Bob was the son of Gresham and Lucy Pace. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he served his country with honor and carried that same quiet strength and loyalty throughout his life.

Bob was a man who found joy in the simple things. A true country soul through and through, he loved everything about the old-fashioned country way of life—from the food he ate, to the music that played on his radio, to the way he treated people. He was laid back, humble, and kind-hearted, but when he loved, he loved deeply and without reservation.

He enjoyed spending time in his garden, savoring a good smoke with a cold drink, and taking trips back home to Alabama, where his roots always called him. Those who knew him will remember his easygoing nature, his sense of humor, and the genuine warmth he shared with everyone around him.

Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in the hearts of family and friends who were blessed to share in his life and his love for all things country.

“May the road rise up to meet you, and may you always have a good tune, a cool drink, and the peace of a country evening.”

Bob is preceded in death by his siblings, John M. Pace, Joyce Shedd, Estele Moore, James Pace, and Jack Pace; and his parents, Gresham Pace and Lucy Reed Pace.

Left to cherish his memory, Bob is survived by his loving wife, Janis Pace; son, Robert Burns Pace Jr.; granddaughter, Lauren Pace-Thompson (Greg); grandchildren, Chad Leroy, Christian Pace, and Shelby Logsdon (Brad); great-grandson, Jessee; several nieces/nephews; and a host of extended family and close friends.

Visitation for Mr. Bob Pace will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, beginning at 1 PM, with military honors to be performed at 1:45 PM prior to entombment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, Alpha Eutopia Mausoleum Chapel, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky.
