Ruth Bagwell

Bagwell, Ruth D. BAGWELL, RUTH D., 85, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2007. Born in Lost Creek, KY, Ruth was a former teacher at Schaffner Elementary. She loved to read, work in her flower gardens, and travel. She will be remembered for her kind smile, sweet disposition, and the love she showered on her family and friends. Ruth was a member of Shively Heights Baptist Church, and member of Jefferson County Teachers Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. S. Bagwell. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Fleener (Jim); grandsons, David and Michael Fleener; great-grandchildren, Katlyn and Scott Fleener; sisters, Anna Belle Coy (Richard); Mable Wilkins (Vernon), of Newark, OH; and sister-in-law, Sandra Davidson. Special thanks to her caregivers, Kristie, Linda G., Linda B., Mary, Joy, Marilyn, Nicole and Susie. Her funeral service will be noon Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Friday.
