Theresa Louise Bell

Theresa Louise Bell, 75, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on August 11, 1950, in Louisville to Walter and Marie Bindner, Theresa was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She lived a life full of heart, laughter, and unforgettable memories, always putting her loved ones first. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her beloved granddaughter, Jessie, whom she considered to be her greatest blessing.

Short and sassy, Theresa had a vibrant spirit that touched everyone she met. She shared countless adventures with her devoted husband, James, whether cruising the open seas or exploring the scenic beauty of the American West. A true lover of travel, she also found joy in motorcycle rides, classic '54 Ford truck road trips, and spending winters as a snowbird in Florida.

Theresa had a deep love for animals and a passion for country music that filled her home with warmth and joy. But above all, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren—whether it was a quick visit, a special outing, or simply a hug.

Her presence brought joy, her laughter filled rooms, and her love was a constant source of strength for her family and friends. Theresa will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Her light lives on in the hearts of those she loved.

Theresa is preceded in death by her parents, Walter M. Bindner Sr. and Marie Catherine Kern Bindner; and 2 sisters, Corrine Bindner and Kathy Bindner.

Left to cherish her memory, Theresa is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, James Bell Sr.; children, James Bell Jr. (Ashley) and Jennifer Keating (Dennis); 3 grandchildren, Jessie, Diamond, and Shelby; 8 siblings, Agnes Wilbert, Walter Bindner Jr. (Peggy), Patricia Reed, Carol Tucker (Larry), Susan Stack (Joe), Cindy Blake (Billy), Dale Bindner (Elizabeth), and John “Andy” Bindner (Lisa); and a host of extended family and close friends.

A funeral service for Mrs. Theresa Bell will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Louisville Memorial Gardens West Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 4 PM to 8 PM, and prior to the service from 11 AM to 12 PM, at the funeral home. Entombment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West will follow the funeral service.
