Givens, Virginia (Wilcox) "Ginny",
was born in Echols, KY. March, 12, 1924, the daughter of William and Anna Wilcox.
Virginia was past president of Shively Business and Professional Women's Club; Derbytown Business and Professional Women's Club; and a member of Rockford Lane Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Latton W. "Jim" Givens; brothers, Powell Wilcox, Bert Wilcox, Sr., Larry Wilcox, Cecil Wilcox; and sisters, Lottie Milligan and Anna Marie Allen.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Thieneman (Clifford); granddaughter, Heather Noel Jackson (David); great-granddaughter, Sabrina Noel Jackson; and a sister, Brenda Darnell.
Funeral services will be noon Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2 - 8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to her church or to the donor's charity of choice.
