Virginia L. "Tena" (Heavrin) Weir | Visit Guest Book WEIR, VIRGINIA L. "TENA" (HEAVRIN), 87, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010 with her loving family at her side. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Newman Ladies.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Viola Heavrin; a brother; three sisters; and a great-granddaughter.
She was a fulltime homemakers; a tireless, devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Above all, her faith and her family brought her the greatest joy and pleasure.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Patrick Weir; daughters, Patricia Bramer (Gordon), Nancy Henderson (Gary), Janice Martin (Steve) and Gail Jackson (Craig); sons, Patrick Jr. (Nancy), Bob (Viki) and Ron (Faye); 18 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 1925 Lewiston Dr., with burial in Louisville Memorial Garden West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Keenan's Funeral Home 4724 Dixie Hwy.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Mass of the Air or Hosparus of Louisville.
