WAYMON PAUL RODGERS

OCTOBER 31, 1959 – JUNE 15, 2022

Waymon Paul Rodgers of Louisville KY (62 years old) born in Honolulu, Hawaii October 31, 1959, passed away June 15, 2022 surrounded by family and friends.  Waymon attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Louisville.  He was a painter by trade and most excellent at what he did.  He loved life and lived it to the fullest.  He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and ability to make others laugh.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gretchen Rodgers; his father, Norvle A. Rodgers; his mother, Juanita M. Rodgers; his brother, Dr. N. Alex Rodgers; and his brother-in-law; Jim Davis.  His survivors include his daughter, Madison Rodgers; his sons, Jacob Gunter and Steven Samuels; his brother, Homer Rodgers (Jane); his sisters Sharon Koppel (Ron), Brenda Gonsiorek (Ken), Theresa Davis; his sister-in-law, Sherry Rodgers; significant other, Becky Samuels; and many nephews and nieces.

Celebration of Waymon’s life will be June 25, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Taylorsville Lake Park Pavillion.
