William “Bill” Daniel Guinn, 90, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on January 4, 2026, in the city where he was born and raised.
Bill was born on December 26, 1935, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Othello Monroe Guinn Jr. and Mary Beatrice Whelan Guinn. He graduated from Flaget High School in 1953 and went on to proudly serve as a member of the Air National Guard.
Bill dedicated 40 years of his professional life to Naval Ordnance, beginning his career as a machinist and later advancing to the role of project manager. His long tenure reflected his strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to doing things the right way.
In his free time, Bill enjoyed many of life’s simple pleasures. He loved playing golf, relaxing by the pool, and swimming. Music was always an important part of his life, especially classic country, with Merle Haggard, George Jones, and Waylon Jennings among his favorite artists. Bill also cherished traveling with his beloved wife, Anna Marie, especially to any beach they could find.
Above all, Bill treasured time spent with his family. He took great pride in his grandsons and rarely missed an opportunity to attend their sporting events, always cheering them on from the sidelines.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Othello Monroe Guinn Jr. and Mary Beatrice Whelan Guinn; and brothers, Edward Eugene Guinn Sr. and Robert Monroe Guinn.
Left to cherish his memory, Bill is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Anna Marie Guinn; children, Robyn Fischer (Mark) and Anthony T. Guinn (Mary); grandsons, Hunter Fischer (Emily), Daniel Fischer, Jack Fischer, and Trevor Guinn; brother, James Patrick Guinn (Carol); and a host of extended family and close friends.
Bill will be remembered as a devoted husband, a proud grandfather, and a man who valued hard work, family, and enjoying the moments that mattered most.
